Marni Adhikari, M.Ac, L.Ac, Dipl.Ac
Marni Adhikari is a licensed and board certified acupuncturist who has been in practice since 2009. She has a Masters degree in Acupuncture and a Bachelor's degree in psychology. Marni is certified as a Diplomat of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and is certified in Clean Needle Technique by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM).
Marni knows that each individual seeking help has different needs. Some like to talk, while others prefer to let their body's signs and symptoms speak for them. Some want to know more about lifestyle changes that can benefit their long term health, while others don't care to have this be part of the conversation. She considers each person to be the 'expert' on themselves, and believes that her job is to partner with her patients to learn more about the bigger picture of what is going on, and how each can achieve wellness.
Marni sees wellness as a state beyond relief from symptoms. She believes that, "Wellness is not just freedom from symptoms. It includes knowing and acting on your own strengths, and knowing your own weaknesses so as to be able to prevent, as much as possible, dis-ease in the future. Through this comes a resilience to stress and a passion for life. A person who is truly well walks the path they were meant to walk, and freely and easily gives of their own particular gifts to life."
Through this whole person approach, Marni has successfully treated a variety of symptoms including pain, digestive issues, fertility, depression and anxiety. People come seeking help with matters of physical health, emotional upset, stress, and even existential questioning. Marni's Five Element Acupuncture approach to well being addresses all of these issues together.
Marni loves watching people find relief, blossom and flourish through acupuncture treatment. She considers it an honor to be allowed to be part of this healing process.
